AS the holiday season approaches, people are looking for some fun games that they can play over the December break.

Luckily there are plenty of big name games releasing that you can pick up this month to bring you into the new year.

With major names like Batman, Disney, The Lord of the Rings, and Avatar, there are a lot of licensed games this month from popular IPs.

Here are all the biggest games launching in December 2023.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy

The Batman Arkham games have been available for a while on other platforms but now Nintendo fans have the chance to grab this classic trilogy.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy includes three games; Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Arkham City leads the pack with an amazing 94 rating on Metacritic, while Asylum is not far behind on 92.

The Batman Arkham Trilogy will launch on December 1 for Nintendo Switch.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley has been in early access for over a year now, but it is about to see its full release.

While the team originally claimed that it would be free-to-play on release, the decision has since been reversed and Disney Dreamlight Valley will go for full price.

Disney Dreamlight Valley leaves early access on December 5 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

Following the disappointing release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum earlier this year, people were hoping for more from Return to Moria.

This is a completely different genre as it is based on procedurally generated levels, survival and crafting.

However, it seems Return to Moria hasn’t bucked the Gollum curse and also got poor reviews.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria launches on December 5 for PS5.

Sonic Dream Team

Sonic Dream Team plans to allow players to take part in classic Sonic adventures on your mobile.

Play as different characters from the Sonic universe and race through levels to defeat big bosses.

Even better, it’s free-to-play for Apple Arcade subscribers.

Sonic Dream Team will be released on December 5 exclusively for Apple Arcade.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

One of Ubisoft’s biggest releases of the year, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is almost upon us.

This is a first-person action adventure game where you play as a Na’vi fighting back against the RDA.

Frontiers of Pandora features open-world gameplay and co-op so that you can team up with friends.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora releases on December 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader

Warhammer 40k wears many hats, with the games in the series covering all sorts of genres.

This one is a classic RPG with a big focus on the narrative at the heart of it.

If you’re a fan of the Warhammer 40k series, then this is another game to add to your collection.

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader will launch on December 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2

Following on from the success of the movie, we have yet another game in the Five Night at Freddy’s series.

Adding to the sense of dread, the Help Wanted series is in VR, bringing you right into the action.

It will feature all the classic Five Nights at Freddy’s action with all the horror and jump scares that we’ve come to know.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2 will be released on December 14 exclusively for PS5’s PSVR2.
