Eager shoppers have called the airer a must-have gadget and shared the item across social media.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group one bargain hunter said: “Nice little bargain today £12 from Asda Birchwood in Warrington.”

They shared a picture of the recently purchased airer in its box.

The post was met with over half a dozen comments from excited customers, keen to get their hands on one.

The heated airer boasts low running costs and a 10kg maximum load so you can fit a whole load of washing on it.

It uses 230W of energy and has lots of hanging space too.

When fully set up it measures at approximately H46 X W73 X L46cm making it ideal for a medium sized room.

Asda’s price is a huge bargain compared to other retailers selling the same product.

We found it listed on Very for £69 and on Robert Dyas for £60, the next cheapest we found after Asda was at Iceland where it was on sale for £25.

Do bear in mind that when prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Asda store using the locator tool on the website.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

We had a look online to see how the cost of similar items at other retailers.

We found that Argos is selling another brand’s airer for £60, while Robert Dyas has one for £45.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

You can compare prices on platforms like Google Shopping.
