Any customers with a Nectar Card can snap up 36 points buying the device too.

Aldi reintroduced the same throw to shelves on November 23, but shoppers had to pay the higher price of £39.99.

That said, Argos will charge £3.95 if you want the nifty product delivered to your home address, which means you’re effectively paying the same amount than if you bought from Aldi.

There’s no added charge if you click and collect though.

Either way, the heated throw comes with plenty of glowing reviews online.

One shopper commented: “It’s amazing I use it during working from home.”

A second added: “Bought as an extra present for my daughter after buying one for myself. Lovely and warm.”

The 120 x 160cm heated throw comes with nine heat settings, is machine washable and also has overheat protection.

Argos’ website says it takes just two minutes to get warm, and it comes with a three-year warranty so you’re covered if there’s any issues with it.

Note, you should not use the heated throw if it is wet and should let it cool before storing it away.

Remember too, to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find it cheaper than at Argos.

It’s not the first time shoppers have been rushing to buy an energy-saving gadget that means you don’t have to put the heating on.

Home Bargains recently unveiled an entire range of bill-busting devices, including a portable fan heater for £10, halogen heater for £15 and £13 bargain electric blanket.

Meanwhile, we revealed a cheap gadget you’ve probably never thought of buying that can slash yearly energy bills by £100s and costs just £3 – a radiator duster.

How else to slash energy bills

There are endless ways to save money on your heating bills, not least by using energy-saving gadgets such as heated throws.

Dave Raval, from LoftZone, previously told The Sun how radiator fans can slash bills by £300.

The gadgets work by redirecting rising heat, which can keep you warmer without upping the thermostat.

Meanwhile, draught excluders can help to stop excess heat from escaping from your property.

Plus, make sure you’re not placing soft furniture such as beds or sofas in front radiators, as they will absorb any warm air produced.

In other news, we tested an energy-saving gadget to avoid putting the heating on – and it could save you £100s.
