EASTER is a time when plenty head to the pub, but it’s worth checking whether your local will be open.
Opening hours can vary across Easter weekend, but if your pub is part of a chain, they’ll usually have opening hours on their website.

Or worse case scenario, you could always call the pub direct and see if they’re taking in customers.
Good Friday (April 7) is a Bank Holiday as well as Easter Sunday (April 9) and Easter Monday (April 10).
Are pubs open for the Easter Bank Holiday?
Most pubs should be open on Easter Sunday as it’s a time when they get a lot of requests for work and family meals.
But some may choose to close to give their staff time off to rest.
If your local pub is independently run they’ll dictate their opening hours over the Easter weekend.
But we look at the opening hours for some of the country’s biggest pub chains.
Wetherspoons
Wetherspoons pubs’ opening hours vary from boozer to boozer so it’s always worth checking ahead to see if your local will be open.
You can do this by using the chain’s locator tool on its website, or you can always pick up the phone and call.

We checked out the opening hours of several Wetherspoons pubs online and they are all open over Easter, including Easter Sunday.
For example, the Corn Exchange Wetherspoons in Leicester is open from 8am through to 1am from Good Friday, April 7, through to Easter Monday, April 10.
It’s worth noting opening hours can change, so it’s best to call ahead and double-check.
Greene King
Greene King has over 300 pubs in London and 2,600 in the UK.
Opening times over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend will vary depending on location.
But again, you can check the pub locator on its website which shows you what time your local is open.
Mitchells and Butlers
Mitchells and Butlers own some of the UK’s favourite pubs including Harvester and Toby Carvery.
Like Greene King, opening times over the Easter period vary across M&B’s pubs so you should check out either Harvester’s or Toby Carvery’s websites.
You can use their locator tools to find your nearest pub and the opening times.
You just have to enter your postcode, location or the venue you want to go to.
