IF you’re really unlucky and have to take a trip to the pharmacy during the bank holiday weekend because of an illness, you may be wondering if they’ll be open.
It’s definitely not the way you want to spend the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend, so here we give you the opening times of pharmacies across the UK to save you some stress.

Are pharmacies open on Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday?
We contacted some of the top pharmacies in the UK, including Boots, Superdrug and Asda Pharmacy and asked them about their opening times for the bank holiday.
This is what they had to say.
Boots
Boots will be opening their doors to customers during the bank holiday weekend, the only difference is that some stores will open at reduced hours on June 2 and June 3, 2022.
To check the hours of your nearest Boots store, simply access their Store Locator tool, enter the postcode or address to find your nearest Boots store, and it’ll give you all the updated timings.
Boots also told us that they will be having some offers to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70th year on the throne.
On June 1, 2022, they will have a selection of beauty products sold for £19.52, the year in which the Queen succeeded the throne.
This will be available online, and for June 1, 2022 only.
Some of the products included in the offer are the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, which will be reduced from £29 and the Fenty Beauty Highlighter Duo which will be reduced from £28.

On their website, customers can save 10% on almost everything excluding some health products from June 1 to June 7, 2022.
If you have the Boots App you can save £10 for every £50 you spend through the app from June 1 till June 6, 2022.
Superdrug
Superdrug said their stores will be open from 9am till 9pm.
They suggested it’s still better for customers to look up their store or shopping centre online to check they’re open.
This is because some opening times may vary.
To see which store is closest to you and what time it’ll be open, simply enter the area you’re in their Store Locator tool and it’ll show you the list of stores close by.
The tool also gives you the opportunity to select which services you need from the store, so that you make sure that you visit the right one and get what you need.
Asda Pharmacy
Asda confirmed that pharmacies will be open but times may vary from one store to another.
The best way to find out the opening times of your local store is by going to the Store Locator Tool.
To check whether the Asda Pharmacy near you is open during the bank holiday, simply go on to the tool and enter the pharmacy’s address or postcode.
Once you find the pharmacy, it will show you its opening times.
What can I get at the pharmacy during a bank holiday?
Pharmacies don’t just provide prescribed medicines, and sell various other things you can buy from other shops.
Some big pharmacies have a wide range of beauty products and even stationery for example.
So if you’re looking for a last-minute present like a perfume or you’ve run out of a lipstick which you desperately need, then the pharmacy might be a good place to look for it.
They also sell hair products and baby products.
So if one of the shops near you is not open, you can quickly run to a pharmacy to get many of the things you might need.
When are the Bank Holiday dates in 2022?
Brits will have celebrated NINE bank holidays by the end of 2022.
We started off the year with a long weekend, after New Year’s Day fell on a Saturday and so January 3, 2022 was used as a Substitute Day.
Then the UK enjoyed a very hot weekend in April as they celebrated Good Friday on April 15 and Easter Sunday on April 17, 2022.
Soon after, the Early May Bank Holiday came on May 2, 2022.
June 2 is the Spring Bank Holiday and there is an additional bank holiday on June 3, 2022.

If you can’t get away for the Platinum Jubilee weekend, worry not as you’ll still have a chance to go on a summer holiday.
August 29, 2022 will see Brits get another day off work as they enjoy the Summer Bank Holiday.
The last two bank holidays on the calendar for 2022 will then be on December 26, on Boxing Day and then December 27, which will is a substitute day for Christmas Day.
