Are libraries open on the August Bank Holiday?
Some libraries and universities take the August bank holiday as the last opportunity to enjoy some time off before they kick off the new scholastic year.
That is why most probably, they will be closed.
It is best to look on a university’s website to check whether they are opening the library.
If you go to a public library, the local council website will give you all the information you need on whether they’ll open the book dome or not.

If you have a very small local library then you may find the library is shut as employee numbers are minimal.
Can I get a library book delivered during the August Bank Holiday?
Some libraries will offer a delivery service so you can access all the books your heart desires without even leaving the comfort of your home.
Depending on the delivery company you may be able to get your book shipped during the bank holiday.
If your library is open and provides a delivery option you may be able to get one or many books delivered.

The Platinum Jubilee has given us an extra day off this year, so in total Brits had NINE bank holidays to enjoy.

The spring bank holiday was moved from its usual space in May to give us all a four day weekend over the Jubilee.
Due to Christmas falling on a Sunday, we have a substitute day on Tuesday 27, 2022, to enjoy off.
