DISAPPEARING into a great book is the perfect way to unwind over the festive period.
We’re lucky to still have libraries where we can go to borrow and read books for free. But do they open on Christmas Day?
Are libraries open on Christmas Day?
Libraries are traditionally open from Monday to Saturday every week.
However, most libraries close on Sundays and public holidays, meaning their doors will be shut over the festive period.
Indeed, some councils have already put notices online saying all libraries will be shut on Monday, December 25.
It’s advisable to check with the particular library you are interested in or visit their official website for accurate and up-to-date information on their holiday schedules.
