IF you’re a big iPhone photography fan, Apple has just launched the perfect competition for you.
The tech giant is looking for the best macro photos and may even use your shots in its campaigns.

Apple’s extensive search for the top winning photo begins today until February 16.
It’s called the 2022 “Shot on iPhone Challenge”.
The one catch is you’ll need to take the photo on an iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max.
A macro photo is an extreme close-up photo, which may include subjects like flowers, a piece of fruit, snow, insects and pets.
You could even take a macro photo of a human.
Apple’s new iPhone 13 Pro lineup has the perfect cameras for this kind of photo.

The iPhone 13 range can take a photo from a 2cm minimum focus distance.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras with Apple-designed A15 Bionic performance.
The contest is for amateur or professional macro photographers who are 18 or over.
You can live anywhere across the globe.
Apple invites you to upload and share your best-loved photos.
Participation requires photos to be taken on an iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, using the hashtags #iPhonemacrochallenge and #ShotoniPhone.
You can upload them to Twitter and Instagram.
Your best photos can be taken straight from the camera or edited through Apple’s Photos app or editing tools, as well as third-party software.
Expert industry judges and Apple will be selecting 10 winning photos worldwide.
The iPhone macro photo champions will be showcased on Apple’s social media and an online gallery.
Winners will be announced in April.
Apple says: “Share your best macro photos taken on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max on Instagram and Twitter, using the hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #iPhonemacrochallenge to participate in the challenge.
“Weibo users can participate using #ShotoniPhone# and #iPhonemacrochallenge#.
“Please note which model you used to capture your image in the caption. You can also choose to submit your images in their highest resolution via email to [email protected].”
