APPLE has a warning for iPhone users who fear their accounts could bee compromised.
Your Apple Account needs to be kept safe or hackers could take over your device and access your financial information.

A recent investigation by The Wall Street Journal recently revealed a rise in thieves stealing iPhones and taking over Apple Accounts and Apple IDs.
Victims can lose everything in this scam.
A cybercriminal doesn’t necessarily need to steal your iPhone to hack your account.
Apple has listed three warning signs on its website that you can watch out for.
The first is: “Apple notified you (notification or email) about accounty activity that you don’t recognize (for example, if your Apple ID was used to sign in to a device that you don’t recognize or your password was changed but you didn’t change it).”
If you notice this happen you should try to change your Apple ID password immediately.
Next, Apple says: “You notice unusual activity like messages that you didn’t send, deleted items that you didn’t delete, or purchase activity that you don’t recognize.”
All of the above is a sign that a criminal already has access to your ID.

Finally, Apple says: “Your password no longer works, you don’t recognize some or all of your account details, or your device was locked or placed in Lost Mode by someone other than you.”
If a hacker has already changed your password, you can try to bypass this and reset your password.
Also, go to appleid.apple.com to reset your personal security information.
Apple adds: “Check with your email address* provider to make sure that you control every email address associated with your Apple ID.
“If you don’t control an email address, work with your email provider to regain control or use a different email address.”
