Rumors have been indicating that Apple is removing a number of features from the new model.

Based on reports, we have detailed six tools you should not expect to see on the iPhone 15.

LIGHTNING PORT

Perhaps the most notable thing to depart from the iPhone 15 is the Lightning port.

This is expected to be replaced by the universal USB-C port.

Most of Apple’s products now use the USB-C port, so this should make everything much more compatible.

THE NOTCH

Seven years after being introduced to the front of the iPhone X, the notch might be disappearing for good.

This would allow the iPhone 15 to have more front screen real estate for the Dynamic Island feature.

MUTE BUTTON

One of the most legendry tools on an iPhone is the Mute button, which lets us easily silence our phones.

However, runor has it that this feature will now be replaced with an action button.

Presumably this button will let users choose exactly which action they want to use it for.

Hopefully, the Mute feature will be an option for those who still want it.

STEEL FRAME

The now famous steel frame of iPhones is expected to be removed on the iPhone 15 Pro models.

This change should pave the way for something even more durable and premium, experts say.

In fact, a new frame is also expected to make this year’s iPhone 15 Pro models lighter by some 10 to 20 grams.

NO MORE GOLD

This one might not be the biggest loss for iPhone users, but the Gold iPhone will reportedly no longer be a color option.

Colors we can expect to see instead include Silver, Space Black, Titan Grey, and Dark Blue.
