APPLE fans think they’ve spotted a huge clue teasing the release of a new 2021 iPad.
We’re now just days away from this year’s Apple event – and the expected iPhone 13 launch.
One of the big rumours is that a new iPad to replace the entry-level model is on the way.
Sure enough, Apple is now listing the current iPad with huge delays.
Trying to order one on the Apple website promises shipping times of three to four weeks.
That brings us into October, long after the Apple event will have taken place.
Meanwhile, other more expensive iPad models will be delivered in days.
Apple fans think this is a huge sign that a new iPad is on the way.
Long-time Apple leaker and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman noted that some iPad collections are being listed as “currently unavailable”.
He added: “Apple tells retail employees not to speculate why to consumers.
“Any guesses why? JK. New ones are coming soon – thinner/faster etc.”
That fits in with previous rumours that Apple is preparing a thinner and more powerful iPad for 2021.
The new model would replace the current entry-level version.
And it could be announced as soon as September 14, when Apple is set to host its annual gadget showcase.
The “California Streaming” event is expected to be a virtual gadget bonanza, with new iPhones, an iPad and even the Apple Watch 7 on show.
Of course, Apple hasn’t confirmed any of these details, so the details remain a mystery for now.
