GOOGLE might be preparing a huge Android upgrade especially for the music lovers.
Experts have found secret code inside the a test version of Android that suggests a way to share audio with several Bluetooth devices might be coming later this year.
At the moment, it’s quite difficult to listen to music together with your own headphones.
Apps like Spotify have their own shared listening feature built-in but for everything else it’s a bit tricky.
Google, which runs the Android, is expected to reveal its 15th version at the end of 2024.
While digging through the latest beta for Android 14 QPR2, Android Authority noticed several mentions of audio sharing.

In it, there’s talk of a new switch to share audio, as well as a QR code button so others can connect to something playing nearby.
It uses a feature known as Auracast which allows users to pair with ease.

Every year Google introduces a number of big new features to Android.
It usually comes out around the autumn time.
Everything we know at the moment is just rumours and based on leaked code, so take it with a pinch of salt until it’s officially announced.
One thing that could come back is lock screen widgets – they were mysteriously removed ten years ago.
There’s also speculation of a private space to hide the private apps you don’t want anyone to know about or see.

Auracast was announced a while back but not many devices support it at present.
However, it looks like that is about to change in the upcoming Android 15 update.

There’s also no limit to the number of devices that can receive an Auracast broadcast.
So later this year you will hopefully be able to share that podcast between multiple mates without faffing with the same pair of headphones between you.
