The feature comes courtesy of IMDb, which Amazon owns.

You need to be watching something on Prime Video for it to work.

The setting is called X-Ray and it can be used on a lot of popular content.

Amazon explains on its website: “X-Ray is an exclusive set of features on Prime Video that helps you experience more of the stuff you love to watch, while you watch it!

“Available on your favorite movies, series and live sports!”

You can browse X-Ray enabled content on the Amazon website or via your smart TV.

Titles include top-rated movies like Top Gun Maverick, Joke, and The Batman.

Once you’ve select the X-Ray ready content, you can simply press the up or down key on your remote.

Information will appear on the left-hand-side of the screen.

It’s not too distracting so you can still see most of the movie on the screen.

You’ll see facts about the cast in the content.

There’s also a section full of trivia about what you’re watching.

The movie or TV show will continue you to play while you’re scrolling.

If you find this annoying you can also pause the content while you enjoy the X-Ray feature.
