AMAZON Fire Stick owners can access a little-known button to instantly free up space from their storage.

One of the biggest complaints regarding the Amazon Fire Stick is the lack of internal storage.

Most Fire Stick models including the Fire Stick 4K have 8GB of total storage.

But only around 5.5GB can actually be used as the rest is taken up by operating system apps.

Low device space on your streaming service can lead to many technical issues.

As your storage fills up, you may start notice stuttering and glitches during day-to-day use.

And you could even face downloading errors if you try to install new apps from the App Store or if you install them on your Fire Stick.

Luckily, a little-known button can instantly boost your storage.

All you need to do is clear the cache on your Fire Stick through the home page settings.

Once on the home screen, you can then go to Settings and then access the Manage Installed Applications option.

Scrolling through the apps users can check the sizes of their caches and data.

On the next screen, owners need to select Force Stop then Clear cache, and then Clear Data.

This ensures the app doesn’t leave anything behind on your device.

Now select Uninstall to remove the app from your device.

Repeating this process will clear up your storage from the apps you no longer need.

But there are other ways to empty your Amazon Fire Stick space.

You can reset your Fire TV through the Factory Defaults.

However, this method should be the last option as it will remove all the data from your device.

It comes as Amazon introduced a brand new feature for Fire TV devices and users might want to check it out.

It’s called Auto Offload and will automatically clear the cache for any app that’s not been used for more than 30 days.

Meanwhile, Amazon Fire TV Stick users can easily get rid of pop-ups that can be an annoying distraction from movies.

Fire Stick owners can get notifications from other apps while they’re scrolling or watching content.

This feature can be useful if you need reminders about your favourite content from certain apps.

Elsewhere, a hidden data tracking button can instantly boost your Fire Stick speed.

Devices can slow down considerably once they age – but if yours is young and sprightly, there might be some default settings weighing the gadget down.
