Independent outage tracker DownDetector says that more than 2,500 people worldwide have reported issues with platform.

It’s unclear what’s causing the outage, which is stopping people from shopping on the app and website.

Amazon rarely experiences mass outages, so the Tuesday downtime comes as a surprise to customers.

The Sun has reached out to Amazon for comment.
