When is Black Friday 2021?

Black Friday 2021 takes place on November 26.

It follows Thanksgiving in America, which occurs on the fourth Thursday of November.

Globally stores will be slashing prices after the holiday so consumers can bag incredible deals ahead of the festive season.

Offers usually continue over the weekend – now commonly referred to as Cyber weekend – ending at midnight on Cyber Monday.

Is Amazon taking part in Black Friday in 2021?

We’d say it’s safe to assume Amazon will be taking part in Black Friday.

The online retailer has done so for several years, so we’d be very surprised if that changed this year.

Shoppers can look forward to deals across all categories including tech, beauty, fashion and home furnishings.

When does Amazon’s Black Friday 2021 sale start?

Many retailers start their main Black Friday sales a few days early, so make sure you keep an eye on Amazon’s website throughout the week leading up to November 26, if not sooner.

In fact, Amazon launched some of its Black Friday deals at the end of October last year.

Can’t wait until November to grab a bargain? Check out Amazon’s current deals here (UK) and here (US).

When does the Amazon Black Friday 2021 sale end?

Like most retailers, Amazon has continued to offer big Black Friday savings all the way through the following weekend and into Cyber Monday – the digital-only version of Black Friday.

This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 29, so that should be your last chance to score a great deal.

What to expect from Amazon’s Black Friday 2021 sale

Based on past years, we’d expect there to be hefty discounts on Amazon’s own-brand devices such as Kindle e-readers, Echo speaker devices and Fire TV Sticks, as well as on its sister brands like Eufy and Ring.

Previous years has seen the online giant put a large amount of its stock on sale during the annual event.

Shoppers can look forward to mix of discounts on offer across all categories.

Last year Amazon slashed prices on smart home devices, TVs, home appliances, beauty products, headphones, Nintendo Switch game consoles and smartwatches. Fingers crossed for a similar story in 2021.

Cyber Monday falls on November 29 in 2021, and it’s usually the final day for shoppers to make savings.

In the past, Cyber Monday deals were only accessible online and were tech-focused (hence the name), compared to Black Friday deals which were available both online and in-store and focused on big-ticket items.

However, in recent years, we’ve seen a shift in the way the deals come through. We now often see the same offers for both Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with most stores ending their sales on the Monday.

So will Amazon be taking part? Yes, we believe the retailer will be taking part in Cyber Monday again this year.

Will Amazon Black Friday deals be better than Prime Day?

Last year we saw very similar discounts over Prime Day and Black Friday. This was possibly due to Prime Day taking place in October, very close to Black Friday.

This year Prime Day took place in July, so it’s possible the discounts will be bigger during Black Friday with differing seasons, new product launches and stock levels all playing a part. It’s hard to say for certain though.

Here are some of these Amazon Prime Day deals we saw in July. They might be an indication of things to come in November:

  1. New Apple iPhone 12 mini, £639, save £110 – buy here
  2. Echo Dot 4th Gen, £24.99, save £24.99 – buy here
  3. Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner, £183.99, save £196 – buy here
  4. Ninja Air Fryer, £129.99, save £49 – buy here

How to search for Amazon Black Friday deals

Well, the first place to start is on our Black Friday pages – we’ll be keeping you up to date with all the best bargins.

You can also check out Amazon’s deals page here (UK), or just visit the retailer’s homepage nearer the time: they will flag up Black Friday savings.

Alternatively, search for the product you want on Amazon as usual, and you’ll be able to see whether it comes with a Black Friday offer.

Make sure you do your homework beforehand so you know what the normal retail price is and how much you’ll be saving.

Will there be exclusive deals for Amazon Prime members?

While we’re not entirely sure what Amazon will do this year, but a couple of years ago it had an exclusive 30-minute early access to all lightning deals in the sale for Prime customers.

Prime membership costs £79 a year or £7.99 a month. New users can get a free 30-day trial.

Does Amazon offer any other discounts?

Students can get Amazon Prime for free for six months. After the trial ends, you can get 50% off full Prime membership making it £3.99 a month.

  • Sign up to Prime Student here

You must be a UK student aged 18+, with an .ac.uk email address.

Or if you’ve not got one of those, send an email from the address that’s linked to your Amazon account to [email protected] giving proof of enrolment.

We’d also recommend checking around for Amazon voucher codes.

How much will my Amazon delivery cost?

If you’ve got Amazon Prime, your delivery fee will be free.

Amazon typically offers free delivery on orders over £20 if you’re happy for your purchase to arrive three to five business days after you’ve bought it from the company itself.

Otherwise, its fees start from £2.99. You can see the full list of Amazon’s shipping costs here.

For orders from third party sellers on Amazon, prices can vary depending on the seller, so make sure you check out how much a product is, with shipping, before purchasing it.

What products should I look out for in Amazon’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale?

  2. Smart speakers
