Recording TV and movies is one of the best parts of having a Sky Q box.

But when something is deleted that you wanted to watch, it’s easy to panic.

Maybe you accidentally deleted it, or scrubbed it and decided you want it back.

Or perhaps someone else in the house binned your favourite series.

Whatever the case, it’s possible to very easily restore content that you’ve deleted.

Sky built the feature in as a fail-safe for people who might accidentally get rid of content.

First, go to your Recordings section – this can be quick-accessed by pressing the Sky logo on your remote control.

Now to find deleted content, go to Manage > Deleted.

Then simply select Undelete to restore any deleted programmes.

It’s also possible to permanently delete programmes from your storage here.

Now you can be happy knowing that your deleted content isn’t lost forever.

It’s only permanently removed if you delete it from the Deleted folder.

Sky Q recording rules

It’s also important to know the recording rules for Sky Q.

If you’ve got a Sky Q 1TB box, you can record three programmes at the same time.

And you can still watch another on the side.

With a Sky Q 2TB or Sky Q 1TB UHD box, you can record up to six programmes simultaneously.

And you can still watch live TV while they record.

Note that the 2TB and 1TB UHD boxes are automatically set to cap at recording five programmes.

But you can change that by going into Settings > Setup > Preferences and then modifying the maximum number of recordings.
