IPHONE owners have been warned over a frustrating glitch that is impacting Apple’s popular CarPlay feature.
Users have reported significant lag and stutter when using Apple CarPlay connected to an iPhone.
Apple CarPlay is used in more than 800 models of cars.
It is designed to make it easier for Apple users to connect their iPhones to their vehicle.
“CarPlay gives you the ability to safely use what you love about your iPhone while you drive,” according to Apple’s website.
“Beginning with selected 2021 car models, you can unlock and start your car with iPhone. “
Beyond being able to use your iPhone as a digital set of car keys, it lets users beam navigation information from their devices onto the screens in their cars.
Users can also use it to stream music, videos and receive notifications from their iPhone while driving.
But an increasing number of users have begun experiencing slow responsiveness, nearly a decade since CarPlay was first rolled out to customers.
Tech expert Marques Brownlee, also known on YouTube as MKBHD, said it may never be fixed.

“Apple CarPlay has had a horrible bug/issue for a while where if you use the camera while the phone is connected to the car, it’ll be glitchy/laggy,” he wrote on Twitter.
But there is a way people can avoid impacts for themselves,.
To avoid this problem, iPhone users should refrain from using the phone’s camera or film while it is connected to Apple CarPlay.
This seems to help with the lag, according to experts at car advice site Edmunds.
