But it is not fact as they were just a business partner. On the other hand, their relationship began getting sour after some time. The former business partner split in the midst of season 2, which led Eckhardt to step away from the show.

In the lawsuit, filed in December 2019, James and Anna Morrissey alleged issues with the roof, windows, external masonry and hallway bathroom of a home they bought that had been featured on the first season of the show.
An attorney for the Morrisseys, Robert McLaughlin, refused to deliver facts about the settlement, saying the parties decided to keep the terms confidential. He and attorneys for Victoria and Eckhardt praised the settlement.
