ALDI is planning to sell mince pies in June to help families recreate Christmas as Covid rules are relaxed.
The UK is set to end social distancing rules on June 21 if plans to unlock go ahead.

Aldi says half of Brits are planning to celebrate with friends and family next month.
The mince pies will be back in shops from June 21, and packs will cost £1.79 which is what they sold for last Christmas.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: “The first Friday post-lockdown will feel like Christmas, as we all get to meet up with friends and family after months apart.
“We thought let’s make it a Junemas to remember by bringing back the nation’s festive favourite – mince pies – to help celebrate this very special occasion!”
Back over the Easter weekend this year, demand for another typically Christmassy dish surged as shoppers were after pigs in blankets.
When families were given the first opportunity to meet again over the bank holiday weekend since Christmas time, they wanted to recreate dishes from the big day including the pigs in blankets.
It’s really hard to come by mince pies this time of year and at the moment you can only buy them from independent sellers like British Fine Foods who is selling a six pack for £6.95.
If you can wait an extra month then Aldi’s restock will save you £5.16 off that price, plus you’ll get double the amount of pies in the pack as there’s only six in the £7 offer.
In the meantime, Aldi is launching a campaign online called #AldiJunemas where shoppers can cast their vote on what other yuletide favourites they would like to see back in store this summer.
