ALDI shoppers have been rushing to buy an air fryer that’s back in stores from TODAY.

The German retailer has already sold out of Ambiano Dual Basket fryers on its website.

But shoppers should be able to grab one in their nearest Aldi branch from today (April 23).

If you don’t know where your nearest store is, you can use the retailer’s branch locator on its website.

It comes after customers crashed the Aldi website last November trying to get hold of one after it came back into stock.

Dozens were reporting they couldn’t get on the site, with others saying there were thousands ahead of them in the virtual queue.

The Ambiano fryer costs £89.99 – £110 cheaper than the popular Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer.

It has an eight litre capacity, seven automatic cooking programmes and two heating elements to cook two different foods simultaneously.

The gadget can reach 200C and it’s got a 60-minute timer too, so you know when your grub is ready.

Plus, the coated frying basket is non-stick, which should mean little to no mess cleaning up after dinner.

Are air fryers cheaper than ovens?

Air fryers have surged in popularity since energy bills soared as they can be cheaper to use than a conventional oven.

They can be a healthier option too as they use less oil.

But they might not always be the least expensive option, and sometimes it is easier to cook larger meals in an oven.

Martin Lewis recently revealed it’s not always cheaper to use an air fryer compared to a conventional oven.

If you want to work out how much your air fryer costs to run, you can use a simple formula:

Cost = power (in kWh) × time (in hours) × price of 1 kilowatt on your energy tariff.

So, if for example, you have an air fryer that consumes 2,000 watts, you are using it for one hour and the cost of electricity is priced at 34p per 1,000 watts, the formula would be:

2 x 1 x 34p = 68p

If you used it for two hours, the formula would be:

2 x 2 x 34p = 136p (£1.36)

You can use the same formula with any appliance, so you can do this with your oven and work out the difference in price.
