It can be served hot and cold, making it the perfect addition to any Christmas party spread.

“Just tried this and to my taste buds it’s nothing like pigs in blankets. More like stuffing to me,” said one Facebook user.

A second wrote: “Tried it… not as nice as original normal quiche Lorraine.”

And a third simply said: “Yuck.”

From the classic roast turkey to quirky but tasty Christmas sides, Aldi has everything to offer this festive season.

These include smaller dishes like the Specially Selected mini Yorkshire puddings and mini beef wellingtons, which are available from December 8 and cost just £3.99.

Meanwhile, the pigs in blanket pizza is back on the menu and will cost £4.49 when it hits the shelves on December 8.

This year, Aldi has revealed three new pre-mixed premium cocktails for just £9.99 each – a salted caramel espresso martini cocktail, chili and lime margarita and a passionfruit and pineapple martini.

We have put together a guide to everything Aldi has available on its Christmas menu this year.
