ALDI has issued a warning to customers who purchased its garden furniture.

The popular hanging egg chair, which is known to sell out immediately, is included in the items that pose safety concerns.

The supermarket giant released a statement today advising customers who bought certain garden products to dispose of the current cushion covers.

It said: “As a precautionary measure, we are sending replacement cushion covers to all customers who have purchased the following garden furniture products between February 13 2022 and April 20 2022 only.”

This is because the cushion covers’ fire-retardant effectiveness may deteriorate over time, posing a safety hazard.

All other aspects of the furniture are regarded as safe though.
