ALDI is selling a new two-seater version of its popular hanging egg chair.

The original chair has sold-out in record time more than once, and now Aldi is selling a bigger version for £250.

The larger version of the store's best seller is £249.99

The large hanging egg chair will be available to pre-order online from July 4 and it costs £100 more than the first £149 hanging egg chair Aldi released.

The new specialbuy is approximately 220cm tall and 110cm wide, and is designed in a rattan style with the seat of the chair suspended from a dark grey iron frame.

This version is big enough to seat more than one person comfortably, and it includes a large grey cushion as well, for extra comfort and padding.

A free three year warranty will be included in the purchase of the chair too.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Aldi has promised restocks of the original popular chair every time it’s sold out, especially as some cheeky shoppers have tried flogging them for double the price on sites like eBay.

But the new larger chair will only be available to order online from the release date so you won’t find any on sale in-store.

That means you’ll have to keep in mind the extra £9.95 it will cost on top of your order to have it shipped to your door.

Plus, the success of the other egg chair previously suggests this new version will sell out quickly too, so you’ll have to be fast if you don’t want to miss out.

It’s always best to shop around for other offers as well, as even though something like a specialbuy from Aldi may look like a deal, other sites might offer a better bargain.

You can buy a double-seater hanging egg chair from Briq but it is nearly £170 more expensive than Aldi’s at £419.

The egg chair is almost identical to Aldi’s in appearance as it also has a durable, long-lasting steel base and woven sides, and it comes with weather-resistant washable cushions too.

But at the moment you can get free shipping from the site, so if you can’t wait a month until Aldi’s release date, you might want to consider spending the extra £170.

Wilko is also selling a twin-seat hanging egg chair and has even slashed the price its available for.

The alternative features a rattan effect in a natural colour, in comparison to the dark grey colours of Aldi’s or Briq, but it’s more than double the price of Aldi’s at £520, making it £270 more expensive.

If you’re after something cheaper however, The Range is selling a hanging helicopter chair for £180, it’s £70 cheaper than Aldi’s new release but it will only seat one person and doesn’t feature the classic egg shape seat either.

Plus, following the massive hype around egg chairs as this year’s must-buy garden furniture, Aldi even released a mini version for cats that costs £35.

Here are all the latest releases from Aldi’s specialbuy section including a barrel BBQ and a pizza oven.

The store has also launched a range of cooling bedding just in time for summer and hot nights ahead.

As well as that, the store has its own Euros 2020 kits so you can support your teams during this year’s games even on a budget.
