SHOPPERS eager to get their hands on Aldi’s infamous garden chair could strike lucky this weekend, as it makes a long-awaited return.

The swinging egg-chair was in high demand last year, but not everybody was lucky enough to nab one.

Aldi's popular swinging egg-style chair is making a comeback this weekend

Aldi’s popular swinging egg-style chair is making a comeback this weekend

The grey statement piece is part of Aldi’s Specialbuys collection and is set to go live this February 13 at 8am.

For those unfamiliar, Specialbuys are products launched by the low-cost supermarket every Thursday and Sunday to cover a range of activities and hobbies, like camping, fitness, or DIY.

Some items are available both in-store and online. But others, like this chair, are only up for grabs via Aldi’s website

Specialbuys items can sell out very quickly – and once they’re gone, they could be gone for a while or even permanently, causing a shopping frenzy.

If you’ve had your eye on one of these, you’ll want to get in line early as the popular garden item has previously sold out instantaneously, and not just on one occasion.

Variations of the chair made multiple appearances on Aldi’s website last year and back in 2020, giving customers more than one chance to cop the bargain for themselves.

But with 75,000 people in the queue at times, it’s no wonder many missed out on the item.

So the return of the furniture piece this weekend gives those previously left empty-handed and disappointed, another stab at the product.

Celebs like Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch, both home-styling gurus, have egg-shape chairs themselves, making them all the more desirable.

This one is made out of rattan and lined with cushions, so customers can swing away comfortably all day.

The item can go both inside and outside, as the chair is weather resistant and comes with an optional cover for an extra cost.

If you’re fast enough to get one, (or, it seems, if fate is on your side) it’ll set you back £189.99 on its own, or £199.99 with the additional zip-up cover.

Delivery costs also apply.

Standard Specialbuys items over £30 are free to deliver, but large items cost £3.95, and extra large items cost £9.95.

If you miss out on the egg chair launch this weekend, not to worry.

The Sun has discovered a couple of similar style chairs available without the wait.

The Range offers a hanging egg chair for £249, available to purchase now and free to deliver.

OnBuy is also selling a similar chair for £103.99.

You should always shop around for better deals before making a purchase.

If you’re looking to build up a garden ambience, Aldi also has people talking about their outdoor log burner – another fan favourite.

Not only has Aldi hyped customers up for the egg chair, but it has also announced it’ll be selling the cheapest dozen red roses this Valentine’s Day.

And for makeup obsessed shoppers, the budget-friendly supermarket has released a dupe of famous Nars products.
