Is Aldi open over the August Bank Holiday?

Aldi said its stores in England and Wales will be open from 8am until 8pm on August 28.

Branches in Scotland will be open as usual from 8am until 10pm.

Click and collect will also be available across 200 stores. You should call your local branch to see if it is running the service.

Are shops closed on the Bank Holiday?

Most of the nation’s favourite attractions, shops and restaurants will remain open across the August Bank Holiday.

Supermarkets, department stores and smaller retailers will have their doors open, but times may change.

Most retailers will have their opening times listed on their websites, so make sure to check before heading out.

Opening times generally vary depending on the location and size of the store.

Sainsbury’s, for example, will have the vast majority of its larger stores open as usual on August 28.

Customers should check on its website for exact opening hours though.

Meanwhile, Tesco shoppers will be pleased to know the majority of its larger stores will be open from 8am to 6pm on Monday 28.

Some may be open until slightly later, 8pm.

Public transport timings also vary on a Bank Holiday weekend, so ensure you check the timetables to avoid any travel troubles.

Monday, August 28 is the final Bank Holiday of the summer, but there’s a couple more to come in 2023.
