VIRGIN Media has crashed this morning leaving thousands of customers without internet access.

According to Downdetector, there were 4,449 reports of outages at around 11am this morning.

There were issues reported across the country, with hot spots in London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Manchester.

Customers also took to Twitter to vent their frustration, with some saying their Virgin Media TV connection has also crashed.

One Virgin Media user said: “Our service has completely gone down – no WiFi and no tv. Can’t access your website either.
