Shoppers are getting ready for their summer garden makeovers with Aldi’s latest spring launch.

The range includes everything from garden mirrors to planters, but there is one particular item that has caught the eye of bargain hunters.

The solar hot air balloon light is £6.99 and customers are already falling in love with the cute garden decoration.

The solar light has a realistic flaming effect that automatically lights up at night.

The item is described on the Alid website as “charming and sure to impress anyone”, and it is already doing a good job of that.

One happy customer who picked up one of the lights at her local store shared her find with the Aldi community online.

The excited fan posted a picture of the light to Facebook and said: “OMG, this is the best garden decoration. I am off to buy more tomorrow.

“When it lights up at night it’s like there is a flame inside lighting up the balloon.”

Many of the people commenting were from the US, where the garden item is not available yet.

One person from across the pond commented: “That’s adorable, I hope they have them in the US soon.”

Another added: “These came up on my feed and I almost ordered one until I noticed it was only in the UK.”

Specialbuys are unique and exciting products that you can find exclusively in Aldi stores.

The products are launched in stores every Thursday and Sunday and can include anything from DIY items to beauty products.

You can pick up a leaflet in-store, browse online, or sign up to Aldi’s mailing list to get a sneak preview of what is to come.

There are other ways to save at Aldi and it is always worth keeping a lookout for the many dupes that the retailer launches from time to time.

One Aldi worker recently revealed all the new beauty dupes that have landed in stores.

As well as dupes of branded food items, the retailer also has beauty products and fragrances that sell out as soon as they hit the shelves.

Remember that it is always worth shopping around to make sure you are getting the cheapest deal.

You can use price comparison sites such as Google Shopping to compare online prices across several different retailers.

We had a look online to see if anywhere else was selling the solar hot air balloon and while we did spot it in some other retailers Aldi is the cheapest.

Robert Dyas has the item listed online for £14.99 which is double the price of the Aldi offer.

However, if you sign up for the Robert Dyas loyalty scheme you can get the balloon for the “My Dyas price” of £9.99.

We also spotted the balloon online at Longacres Garden Centre for £9.99.

Which other retailers are getting summer garden ready?

B&M has brought back its range of iconic egg chairs and they are even cheaper than last year.

The garden must-have sells out every year and this year the popular discounter has slashed prices.

Not only that there is now more choice with the introduction of a brand-new collapsible Santorini folding egg chair.

However, it is the original and hugely popular Siena range that has been knocked down in price.

Here are the three options available in B&M this year.

  • Siena Single Egg Chair is £200 this year but was £250 last year.
  • Siena Double Snuggle Egg Chair is not just £250 was £325 last year.
  • Santorini Folding/Collapsible Egg Chair is going for just £150.

If you are looking to get your hands on one of these, you better be quick as they usually fly off the shelves.
