ALDI shoppers are rushing out to buy an “unreal” chocolate treat that tastes just like a discontinued Cadbury snack.

The bargain discounter, with over 1,000 UK stores, is known for its dupes which are usually much cheaper than branded versions.

And one in particular has had shoppers singing from the rooftops.

Customers have been rushing out to their nearest Aldi branch to grab Choceur Waves – a dupe of Cadbury Snaps, which were discontinued earlier this month.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page one shopper shared a photo of the sweet treats they found in their local branch.

They captioned the post: “These are £1.75 in Aldi they are so nice.”

The post has notched up almost 170 likes and dozens of comments from fans who love the supermarket’s dupe.

One said: “My favourite things, like a chocolate Pringle,” while another said: “I love them. They remind me of Cadbury snaps.”

A third commented: “I love the mint ones of these,” and a fourth added: “Salted caramel ones are unreal.”

Anyone looking to “snap” up one of the Choceur Waves can choose from four flavours – mint, orange, salted caramel and milk chocolate – all priced at £1.75.

But remember you won’t be able to order them online as Aldi has axed its home delivery service.

You should be able to find them in your nearest branch though. You can find your closest shop by using the retailer’s store locator tool.

It comes after Aldi shoppers were left screaming “need these in my life” after spotting peanut butter and salted caramel Easter egg dupes.

Meanwhile, shoppers have been racing to their nearest Aldi branch to pick up new crisp flavours inspired by a takeaway favourite.

The German discounter is selling Golden Wonder “Chippie” crisps which come in chip shop curry sauce and salt and vinegar flavours.

One shopper online commented: “They are amazing – had a packet of curry yesterday polished off in one go.”

Meanwhile, a second added: “I got some from Asda not so long ago and they had loads of flavour to them.”

How to save money at Aldi

It’s not just dupes that can save you money on your next Aldi shop.

It’s worth keeping an eye out for the retailer’s red stickers on products – staff add them when something has been reduced in price.

But it can catch some shoppers out as most supermarket chains add yellow stickers to reduced items.

Meanwhile, take super saver Tom Church’s advice and shop at the German discounter at 10am on a Wednesday.
