SHOPPERS have spotted a new McVities chocolate bar in stores which many claim will bring back nostalgia with classic flavours.

The Mcvities gold bar has made its way to shop shelves and shoppers say it reminds them of the Caramac bar.

The bar has slayers of crisp wafer and cream filling which is coated with golden caramel chocolate.

The find was shared in the Food Finds Facebook group online.

One chocolate fan said: “Found this in my local shop can’t wait to try it.”

The post racked up hundreds of likes and comments with Facebook users claiming the chocolate bar was “addictive.”

Another said: “These are lush.”

“My new addiction,” said someone else.

Several Facebook users said the McVities chocolate bar reminded them of the recently discontinued Caramac bar.

One user said: “They are lovely, I buy one every few days, it’s like a Caramac-type coating.”

Another said: “Quite simple really. It will taste like old (chocolate) bars.”

Nestle confirmed it made the “difficult decision” to discontinue that caramel-flavoured bar in November last year.

Fans were devastated upon hearing the news and since then many have been searching for somewhere else to find that similar caramel nutty flavour.

While some chocolate fans may argue the McVities gold wafer bar is a close alternative they may be just as difficult to get your hands on.

None of the major supermarkets stock the bar so you will need to head to a snack retailer or Amazon to get one.

The 10-gram bar is usually sold for around 60p online but it may be cheaper to buy it in bulk.

This isn’t the only Caramac dupe that shoppers have spotted recently.

B&M shoppers are racing to buy rare Cadbury chocolate bar previously only available in Australia and it’s perfect for Caramac fans.

In other news, “Hands down the best Easter egg” scream KitKat fans as it brings back iconic flavour.

Supermarket shoppers go wild for returning “yummy” Mini Eggs dessert spotted on shelves screaming “omg I’ve missed them”.

B&M shoppers divided over “game changing” new Cadbury bar only previously available in Australia as it lands on shelves.
