DISCOS crisps fans were devastated when they learned a hugely popular flavour had been discontinued.

The iconic brand are famous for their yummy salt and vinegar treat, but left savoury snackers fuming after revealing a much-loved edition had been axed.

Shoppers were becoming increasingly baffled as to why they couldn’t find any Bacon Discos crisps on the shelves.

A confused customer wrote to the KP Snacks manufacturer on X and asked: “What happened to bacon flavoured Discos and do you ever plan on bringing them back?”

To which a spokesperson sadly announced: “Unfortunately the popularity of this snack has been on a downward trend for a while, therefore, sadly, production was no longer commercially viable and the product had to be discontinued.

“We have no plans in producing these again in the near future. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.”

But, in their prime, the smokey flavoured treat had proved a hit with hungry Brits.

They were a common addition to many lunchtime meals and fans praised them for adding a little joy to dragging work shifts.

“Bacon flavoured discos crisps are something else! Bravo to mr crisp,” penned one lover.

Another raved: “Bacon flavoured discos crisps are so addictive, already had two packs want about 166325 more.”

Someone else who couldn’t get enough of the snack wrote: “Bacon Disco crisps are seriously yummy.”

“Bacon flavoured discos are the nicest crisps ever,” commented another fan.

It comes as other popular treats have been discontinued this year.

Smarties fans were among some who were sad to learn their favourite chocolate would no longer be available.

Meanwhile, there are now 24 Quality Street items you’ll never see in stores again and shoppers are begging for their return.

Plus, Cadbury’s confirmed the decision to discontinue the Cadbury Dairy Milk 30% Less Sugar after fans questioned why it had vanished from shops.

And, Aldi customers have been left fuming after a string of popular snacks and veggies were discontinued.
