The supermarket giant has introduced their Custard Cream Twists Apple Pie treat for just 60p.

Bargain hunters and snack-time lovers flooded the comment section after news of the arrival was shared on social media.

One intrigued customer penned: “Interesting one. Would love to try these.”

Meanwhile another wrote: “Adding these to my Saino’s shopping list.”

“Oooh, I need to dunk them in my cuppa,” agreed a third.

Someone else eager to try the new take on a classic biscuit said: “Well then, I have these waiting for Saturday.”

“Sounds delicious,” echoed another, while more happy shoppers agreed, “sounds like these shall be coming home” and “oh need to try these”.

A Sainsburys shopper who had already sampled the new treat wrote: “The apple flavouring and the cinnamon were both quite mellow, most of what I could taste was vanilla.
