META has released an artificial intelligence-powered sticker tool, but some users are generating inappropriate images with it.
Last week, Meta announced that it was rolling out AI stickers across its apps, including Messenger and Instagram.

The tool enables users to “effortlessly generate customized stickers for your chats and stories,” Meta writes in its blog.
It works in seconds by turning text prompts into a series of unique stickers.
However, some users who gained early access to the tool have used it to create stickers of inappropriate content.
This includes child soldiers, nude politicians, and cartoon characters in compromising positions.
User @Pioldes on X, formerly Twitter, tweeted: “Found out that Facebook messenger has AI-generated stickers now and I don’t think anyone involved has thought anything through.”
He attached images to his Tweet of stickers he was able to generate, including “Karl Marx with large breasts.”
The social media post quickly garnered attention on X as hundreds of users shared their thoughts on the tool.
While some users praised the tool, a majority called it out with criticism.

“When it comes to artificial ‘intelligence,’ nobody ever thinks anything through. Rather ironic, really,” one user said under the tweet.
“I’m worried there will never be a way to control/contain any of this absolute trash,” a second X user remarked.
“It will proliferate in this fashion (and far worse) ad infinitum,” they continued.
Meta has put filters in place to catch questionable content, however, they don’t seem to prevent all inappropriate prompts.
The Sun has reached out to Meta for comment but has not heard back at the time of publishing.
In the meantime, users are urged to report any stickers they see that violate Meta’s community guidelines.
