THE GAMING industry is struggling at the moment, despite a number of amazing releases coming out this year.

While gaming sales are better than ever before, companies are suffering from a huge amount of layoffs.

Epic Games, which is known for the hugely successful and profitable game Fortnite, fired 900 employees yesterday (September 28).

While there have been no comments from the developers, something strange is happening with the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Fans first noticed that the trailer was made private, and then people started realising that posts on social media had been deleted.

First revealed in 2021, it was announced that a KOTOR remake was in the works, and it would be coming first to PlayStation 5.

It would be built from the ground up, and so people thought it would take a long time before release.

However, little has been announced since then, and fans began to be worried about the radio silence.

Last year it was reported that the game would be delayed indefinitely after key figures at the studio had been fired.

There was no official comment on these reports, and there were rumours that we wouldn’t see it released until 2025 at the earliest.

It is also believed that the project had been taken over by another studio after Sony was disappointed by the work of the original developers working on it.

While none of these development struggles have been confirmed, the silence from the companies involved has led fans to be worried.

The removal of all KOTOR media by the companies without comment has led many to believe that the game has been quietly cancelled.

We’ll have to wait for an official announcement before we know the truth, but the signs aren’t looking good.
