A RESIDENT has hit out at developers who used logs to make a playground for children.

The man posted a TikTok video which showed a film of a gated playground next to a housing estate.

A sign informed the public that no dogs, smoking or cycling was permitted within the play area.

The camera then pans to the actual playground, which appears to be a pile of logs.

The man, who uses the TikTok handle @cruisingwithjohn, said: “So this is the play area for young children. Something pretty amazing? “

He then points the camera at the logs and said: “Here we go. I would not let my dog play on this.”

The new playground appears to be in the Harborough area of Leicestershire.

Locals appeared to agree that the playground was not good enough.

One said: “Putting a play area in will have been part of the agreement to build houses on the land. They literally put in the bare minimum to tick the box.”

Another said: “I wonder if a private company got paid like 3 million tax payer money for it.”

A woman said: “Wow that is shocking.”

A local man said: “I mean as a kid I’d be happy enough playing in it but why on earth would you dedicate a fenced off area to that?”

Another said: “Jeez it’s gonna be slippery too.”
