Speaking to That’s Life, she explained that her love for fashion and secondhand shopping started from a young age, and she even made clothes for her dolls as a child.

Then, when she got older, Esta joined Depop, a site where users can buy and sell clothes, jewellery and other fun finds.

The fashion fan signed up and decided to sell some bits from her wardrobe she didn’t get much wear out of.

“From there, I began selling around three pieces from my overflowing wardrobe of op shop and garage sale finds every week,” she explained.

Eventually, Esta began selling the bargains she picked up from secondhand shops instead.

That’s when things really took off for her, selling over 30 items per week.

“Over the next year, I was making anywhere between $200 – $800 [£161 – £645] a month.

“Inspired by my savvy side hustle, I wanted to grow it into something bigger,” she said.

So, Esta ditched her sales assistant gig and made selling secondhand clothes her full time job.

She quickly began making £800 per week, even though she only spent £10 on each item she sold.

“One month, I made a whopping $9,500 [£7,659],” she noted.

From there, Esta got more creative with her online shop and began altering pieces to make them more unique.

She explained: ” I also started repurposing some of my vintage thrift shop finds, taking fabric from pants and turning it into a vest, or collecting scrap materials and making skirts.”

Since starting her business, Esta has made over £103K selling clothes.
