FAKE tan prices are rocketing as retailers crank up the cost, figures show.
The price of some bottles is up by a half in a year.
Dove’s Visible Glow Self-Tan Body Lotion has gone from £4.50 to £7 — a 56 per cent increase.
St.Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse went from £22 in 2022 to £33 this year — a rise of 50 per cent.
Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are £44 from £42 — more than the £25.51 for a Ryanair London Luton to Barcelona flight on August bank holiday.
Clarins and Coco & Eve have both put up the price of their fake-tan products, too.
Consumer champion Jane Hawkes said: “It’s ridiculous that people can get a flight for less than a bottle of false tan.
“We need to be careful as consumers may turn to unhealthy alternatives if prices continue to rise.
“Wearing false tan is the best thing for you as it protects your skin but people may start using sunbeds after this.
“The increases are really disproportionate to inflation.
