To stay Covid-safe by easing the flow of customers, 301 branches will open for an additional 3,000 shopping hours from December 2 until Christmas Eve.

The hours will vary from store to store so check your local branch’s opening hours before you go.

With Boots expecting an influx in shoppers, the retailer warned that there may be a queue outside to enter the store to help social distancing.

The high street chain said it is also hiring extra Christmas employees to help customers in store.

They will also pick up products from branches to support the increase in demand on boots.com.

Tracey Clements, COO at Boots, said: “Our shops have been open throughout the pandemic, so our colleagues are experts in helping you to shop safely and with confidence.

“To ensure a safe shopping experience we are extending the opening hours in 301 of our stores in England and will increase staffing in key cities.”

It comes after the retailer launched a half price Liz Earle Christmas gift set worth £69.

Boots is not the only high street chain to extend opening hours during the festive season.

Several supermarkets revealed they would be opening their doors for more hours than ever before in the run up to Christmas after the national lockdown.

Tesco is even opening 300 stores for 24 hours from December 14 to Christmas Eve.

Primark has also extended it’s opening hours to keep customers Covid-safe during the Christmas rush.
