TESCO is giving away free breakfasts to thousands of its customers this weekend.

Members of the Armed Forces will be able to get a free hot breakfast at Tesco cafes across Great Britain on Sunday, June 25.

The offer applies to all serving Armed Forces personnel and is a way of saying thank you for their service and marking Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 24.

Around 159,000 regulars and 32,000 reservists can present their MOD90 identification card at any Tesco café and get a free full-cooked breakfast (£5.25), vegan cooked breakfast (£6.50), sausage bap or bacon bap (£3.50).

All 295 Tesco cafes across England, Scotland and Wales will be offering the promotion – limited to one free breakfast per cardholder.

The initiative is part of Tesco’s headline sponsorship of Armed Forces Day for the second year running.

The event takes place in Falmouth on Saturday, June 24 to recognise the incredible contribution that members of the Armed Forces community make to our lives.

Ashwin Prasad, chief product officer at Tesco and exec sponsor of the Armed Forces Network, said: “Once again, we’re proud to be the headline sponsor of Armed Forces Day.

“We can’t wait to see the streets of Falmouth come to life over the weekend marking the incredible contribution that the armed forces make to our country.

“Everyone loves a free breakfast and it’s a great way of showing how much we value members of the Armed Forces.”

If you can’t make it to a Tesco cafe on Sunday, don’t worry there are other venues showing their support to Army personnel.

On Saturday, June 24, service men and women can claim a free main meal or breakfast from Toby Carvery.

To redeem the offer you will need to download the app to get your voucher.

Terms and conditions apply, and it is advisable to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Toby Carvery using the restaurant locator on their website.

Morrisons is also offering a 50% discount in its cafes for those in the armed forces or veterans on Saturday, June 24.

This includes savings on cafe favourites like fish and chips available for only £3.49 or bangers and mash for just £2.49.
