The end of terrace home is near the Grade II listed Bryn Bras Castle – and is believed to have been part of the castle’s original estate.

It stands in the castle’s original outbuildings, understood to have once been stables before being converted into homes.

There are the remains of other outbuildings nearby, which were converted into a ballroom in the 1920s to replace the original one that collapsed soon after completion in 1836. 

Nearby Bryn Bras Castle is an impressive Grade II listed property that dates back to 1830.

The current owner of the terrace house in the north west Welsh village of Llanrug is Ann Lawton, who has been renting it out for the past 13 years and not lived there.

The property used to be a holiday let before she bought it at auction more than a decade ago in 2010.

She explained that the turrets were once stables and the homes lived in by the castle workers.

One couple who lived there previously had their initials put above the gate to the turret, and the emblems remain there today.

Ms Lawton told MailOnline Property: ‘Owning a part of what was originally Bryn Bras Castle has been a privilege and has attracted long-term tenants during the 13 years that we have owned it. 

‘The house was previously a successful holiday let, which is not surprising due to its historical and beautiful setting.’

It compares to the average sold price of a terrace property in Britain during the same period of £287,859.
