Add a pint to a pan and heat slowly until reduced by half.

Pop in a cup of ketchup, two tablespoons of mustard and one of honey, season the mixture and simmer for ten minutes until it thickens.

Once cooled, keep it in an airtight jar and pop it in the fridge.

Marinade chicken wings or drumsticks in the sauce for a few hours before cooking for a delicious dinner tonight.

GO GREEN: Make your garden grow by repurposing leftover Guinness and using it as natural plant food.

It’s 100 per cent compostable and, during lockdown the Guinness brewery actually sold its excess stout for use as plant feed.

For your garden, dilute Guinness with water and get growing.

SHINE ON: Take the hard work out of cleaning pots and pans by soaking them in Guinness.

It should help loosen tough stains quickly.

The stout is also a great tool for adding shine to dull jewellery.

Just soak for a few minutes and rinse with water to make your gems sparkle.
