At midday today the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee will publish its interest rate decision. Markets currently expect the base rate to be hiked by 25 basis points to 4.25 per cent. 

The FTSE 100 will open at 8am. Among the companies with reports and trading updates today are Lloyd’s of London, Cenkos, finnCap, Wickes, Playtech, Crest Nicholson and C&C Group. Read the Thursday 23 March Business Live blog below.
