HIDEO Kojima, the director of the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding, has revealed a picture of a mystery actor for an upcoming project.
The image shows the actor silhouetted with the phrase “Who am I?” written over the top.

At the bottom is the logo for Kojima’s new studio, Kojima Productions.
The image first appeared on Kojima’s website, and was later tweeted out by Geoff Keighley, host of gaming’s Oscars, The Game Awards.
Fans quickly discovered where the photo originated from, and just who the mystery actor is.
The picture is believed to originate from the 2014 Marie Claire Fresh Faces Party, an event to help upcoming talent network in the industry.
It took only around 20 minutes for fans to find the source of the image and to begin matching it with Kojima’s silhouette.
Fans believe the image to be of Elle Fanning, a young actress who has appeared in roles starting at the age of 3.
Dakota Fanning’s sister, she plays the lead role in 2022’s drama series The Girl from Plainville.
People then spotted that actor Norman Reedus, long time friend of Hideo Kojima who plays the lead in Death Stranding, is now following Fanning on Instagram.

While Reedus may have been following the young actor before, the pair have not worked on a project together previously.
Fanning also made a post on Instagram of her holding a fake baby like the ones used in Death Stranding.
The English language Kojima Productions Twitter account tweeted out that the names of any new games would not be shared this week at Tokyo Game Show (TGS).
TGS is Asia’s largest gaming convention, where Japanese developers showcase upcoming projects.
A number of big gaming reveals have been made already at the event.
Nintendo held a Direct, which showcased 54 games that are scheduled to release before the end of 2023.
PlayStation also held a State of Play where ten big games were shown, including God of War Ragnarök.
Yakuza studio RGG also revealed a bunch of new games in the series, including a remake of Yakuza: Ishin!
