And, of course, iPhones are not exempt from this fun experience.

Here are 10 hidden features on your iPhone you may have never noticed.

1. Book emoji text

At first glance, the book emoji may seem pretty unremarkable, however, it contains a secret.

The little scribbles on the pages are actual text – specifically, a famous quote from Rob Siltanen that was used in Apple’s Think Different campaign.

The full text reads: “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo.”

“You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

2. The Voice Memo icon

The voice memo tool is a favorite for iPhone users, letting them record notes and important conversations.

What many people don’t realize though, is that the icon for the app is an image of what recording the word “Apple” on Voice Memo looks like.

3. The Clock app

Many users are unaware that the clock app is actually a working clock.

Go ahead, take a look for yourself, and watch the ‘seconds’ dial move!

4. Steve Jobs Tribute

There’s a hidden Steve Jobs tribute on your iPhone that can be accessed when adding something to your reading list online.

Once you do this, you’ll see an icon of a pair of glasses – the glasses are actually an exact replica of the ones Steve Jobs used to don.

5. Siri jokes

Siri isn’t the finest comedian but the virtual assistant knows a few standard ‘Dad jokes’.

Ask Siri the following and see what it says:

  • Hey Siri, why did the chicken cross the road?
  • Hey Siri, knock knock.
  • Hey Siri, tell me a joke.
  • Hey Siri, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

6. Seasonal Siri Easter eggs

Similarly, you can ask the virtual assistant some holiday-related questions.

Try these two:

  • Hey Siri, what should I be for Halloween?
  • Hey Siri, where does Santa live?

7. Search for songs using lyrics only

If there’s a song you can’t remember the title of, then you can use Apple Music to help you out.

Just head to Apple Music and type the lyrics into the search bar.

The app will search for the lyrics and suggest a few options.

8. Change Siri’s voice or language

Siri can speak in different languages and genders.

It’s easy to change these settings.

Just go to Settings and then click “Siri & Search” and then select “Language” or “Siri Voice” depending on what you’d like to change.

9. Ask Siri about books, music, and TV

Siri can also say silly things about poetry, books, music, TV, and movies. Try saying:

  • Hey Siri, read me a haiku.
  • Hey Siri, read me a poem.
  • Hey Siri, tell me a story.
  • Hey Siri, beatbox for me.
  • Hey Siri, where is Elvis Presley?
  • Hey Siri, what does the fox say?
  • Hey Siri, mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest one of them all?
  • Hey Siri, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
  • Hey Siri, blue pill or red pill?
  • Hey Siri, find me directions to Mordor.
  • Hey Siri, I’ll be back.
  • Hey Siri, is winter coming?

10. Konami Code

The Konami Code is a famous cheat code, famed for its use in many Konami video games.

However, iPhone users can also tap into it by saying “Siri, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start”.

Siri allegedly replies with “nerd”.
