The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) hands out the extra cash to certain households struggling to pay their energy bills.

The cold weather payments are made in locations where residents experience continuous below-zero weather.

Households can get £25 during each seven-day period of low temperatures from now until March 31.

The DWP has recently confirmed that cold weather payments had been triggered at over 800 postcodes over the month – meaning that thousands of households are owed cash.

We’ve listed all the latest postcodes that have qualified for a single £25 cold weather payment.

This could be on top of a previous payment you may have had before.

The payment is made automatically, including to those on Universal Credit.

Customers will have the payment credited to their bank account within 14 days of their postcode becoming eligible.
