FAMILIES can nab days out and food deals for free this month, including swimming, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cinema tickets.
The best things in life are free, and we’ve got a round-up of the top June deals to help you treat family and friends this month.

Some of the freebies require you to spend a few pounds to be eligible, but you will still make a saving under the deals.
You might need to download and sign up to a company’s app to get some of the offers.
A number are available through your local council, so availability will vary across the country – and you might have to hit certain criteria to be eligible, such as claiming certain benefits.
Free day out
The National Lottery is offering free days out to all scratch card and ticket holders as part of the National Lottery Open Week.
Projects that are funded by the National Lottery are opening their doors to customers for free this week, or offering other special deals.
Until June 13, anyone who presents a National Lottery ticket or scratch card – either digital or physical – will be able to access the special offers.
It costs between £1 and £2.50 to enter the lottery’s weekly draws.
To see which venues near you are offering free entry, check the National Lottery’s online trip locator.
Check with the individual events and venues on details of the offer, such as booking arrangements and times.
When we looked up the deal, offers included a free trip to the Charles Dickens Museum in Central London, which usually costs £9.50 for an adult ticket and £4.50 for kids over six, and free entry to the D Day Story near Portsmouth – worth £13.50.
As well as free entry, many venues are offering discounted tickets, 2-for-1 deals and free refreshments.
You have to be 18 to enter the National Lottery, and you should remember that the lottery is classed as gambling – never gamble more than you can afford to lose.
Free cinema tickets
The National Lottery is offering another freebie later this month.
If you have a lottery ticket, instant win or scratchcard, you and a friend can claim a free cinema screening.
The film showings will be on June 19 or 20, and tickets are available to book from June 15.
There are more than 200,000 free tickets up for grabs on a first-come first-served basis.
Check the National Lottery website to check which cinemas near you are participating in the offer.
Free Krispy Kreme doughnut
You can bag a free Krispy Kreme doughnut when you sign up to the store’s loyalty app.
To claim your doughnut, download the app for free on your smartphone using either the Apple App Store or the Google Store.
The deal is only available for new customers.
When you sign up you will automatically receive 100 free points, which can be redeemed in store for a free original doughnut.
After that you’ll get 10 points for every £1 spent in store or online.
Free KFC wings
Chicken fans can claim free hot wings – which are usually 99p for two -when they register for the fast food chain’s app.
You can also choose to redeem free popcorn chicken – usually £1.99 – a side or a regular drink as part of the offer.
Customers will automatically receive enough points to exchange in store for a side or a drink when they sign up.
Free swimming and gym sessions
Councils across the country provide deals for residents on swimming and gym sessions.
For example, Southwark Council in South London offers residents free access to local authority run leisure centres at off-peak times, and many others, including Oxford and Brighton, offer free swimming sessions to under 16s.
Swimming and gym prices will vary depending on which local authority area you live in.
Visit your local council website to find deals in your area.
Bicycle maintenance courses
If the sunny weather is making you feel like getting out on a bike ride, you might be interested to know that many councils across England offer free bike maintenance courses.
These courses will give you the skills to do a basic safety check on your bike, giving you peace of mind before you take to the roads.
Check with your local council to see if this service is available in your area.
Free period products
Women spend an average of £5,000 on menstrual products in their lifetime – that’s enough for a big holiday with no expenses spared.
However, you can get sanitary towels and tampons for free if you’re a Morrisons shopper.
Simply go up to the customer services desk and ask for a package “Sandy” has left you.
You’ll be handed a box full of free period products.
But the packages aren’t available in all Morrisons stores – so it’s best to check with your local branch to see if the scheme is running or not.
However, some local councils dish out these products for free if you can’t get them at Morrisons – such as Surrey Council.
And if you live in Scotland, they’re free across all council areas thanks to new rules laid out in November last year.
Free trees
Woodland Trust is offering “hundreds and thousands” of trees to schools and communities to plant – and you can apply for one yourself.
All you need to do is apply online via Woodland Trust’s website and choose where you want to plant your tree.
There will be a certain number of trees available in each application round – so if yours is successful this time around, the tree will be delivered in November this year.
Free school meals and clothes
If you claim certain benefits including Universal Credit, jobseeker’s allowance (JSA) and child tax credit or you’re on a low income, then your child might be eligible for free school meals.
You might need to apply through your local authority so that it can ask for extra funding from the government.
But other councils will ask you to contact the school directly.
Type in your postcode on the government website and you’ll be redirected to your local council’s website to apply.
Hard-up parents can also get money to help cover the cost of schools uniforms.
How much you can get in England to help pay for school uniforms varies depending on where you live, but you can get up to £150 in some local authorities.
As a general rule, those on income support, Universal Credit, JSA, child tax credit, ESA, and pension tax credit are entitled to support under Part IV of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
You may also be eligible if your annual income is less than £16,190.
To apply, you need to put in your postcode on the Gov.uk website, which will direct you to your council’s website where you should search for “uniform grant” in the “Education” section to find out what help is available in your area.
Free computer and internet access
If you don’t have a computer or access to the internet, most councils have libraries that you can use to log on for free.
Many will also let you print out something for free too.
Your local council should be able to help you – or pop down to your local library to get more information.
Free debt help
