Ukraine leader makes plea after meeting UN secretary general and Turkish president in Lviv

The UN secretary general, António Guterres, will meet President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of Ukraine and the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in Lviv later on Thursday. They are expected to discuss grain shipments, negotiations on a political settlement to the war and concerns about the nuclear power plant occupied by Russian forces.

Guterres has said he wants a demilitarised zone established around the Zaporizhzhia plant, the largest in Europe.
