The facts account claimed that putting your iPhone in Airplane mode would speed up the charging time.

And they said that when they did an experiment with this, they found the difference of charging time to be “3 minutes quicker”.

Others on social media who tried the savvy hack were quick to praise the method.

One commented: “Ya, this is true as the phone is in airplane mode the phone’s radio no longer searches for signal also Bluetooth and WiFi and other network setting are turned off.

“Thus a noticeable percentage of battery usage is stopped and we can get a small rise in the charging speed of our phones.”

Another said: “I am commenting here, after testing this trick with my cellphone. It really worked for me…..the difference was 4 min.”

Others have claimed that the fastest way to charge your iPhone is via the lightning cables provided by Apple.

Experts have advised iPhone owners to buy a good quality cable – and not the cheapest one you can find online.

The cable should be MFi – aka Made for iPhone – certified.

If a decent charger is already to hand, experts have urged iPhone users to switch their phones off or turn on Airplane Mode to speed up the charging process.

It means iPhone’s aren’t distracted with updating apps, playing music and receiving messages or calls, which can weigh on the charging speed.

Another hack is turning the iPhone brightness down – or alternatively, switching to Dark Mode.

It comes as we reported on other easy hacks that speed up the time it takes to charge your iPhone.

You should not use your phone while it’s charging.

When you plug it in to charge, you’re re-juicing the battery.

But if you use the phone at the same time, you’ll be drawing power away.

So by avoiding using your phone while it’s charging, the handset will power up more quickly.

Another method to speed up the time it takes to charge your iPhone is by using an iPad charger.

Charging your iPhone through a laptop or computer (using a USB cable) is very low-power – just 2.5 watts.

A standard iPhone charger that you got in the original box is slightly better, offering 5 watts of power.

But an iPad charger offers an immense 12 watts of power.
