IF you are someone who tends to keep a lot of tabs open on Google Chrome, then this quick hack could help streamline your experience.
The instant trick was shared on social media app TikTok earlier this year by a user with the handle @Liquidusblockschain.

The creator began the video by revealing their Google Chrome tab bar, which showed numerous open tabs.
They then displayed a consolidated and color-coded tab bar that featured two groups entitled “College” and “Social,” respectively.
The rest of the footage detailed how to achieve the decluttered tabs.
The TikToker first right-clicked a single tab, then clicked “add tab to new group” from the dropdown menu.
After a new group appeared, they typed in a name for the group and assigned a color to it.
The content, which beseeched TikTokers to “be organized” in the caption, has received nearly 400 likes since going live on the popular platform.

The video also garnered some comments from fellow TikTok users who praised the hack, as well as the account that shared it.
“I can honestly say this is the best account on TikTok,” one user, who goes by the handle @Khleef1, wrote. The user followed their compliment with a post request on how to screen-record without audio.
How to add a new tab to an existing group
While the TikTok video is certainly handy, it did not show the several ways to add a new tab to the group after it is created.
The first approach is to click on an existing tab and drag it into the group.
You’ll know it is in the group when the tab’s borders are the same color as the one assigned to the group.
The second method is to right-click the tab group name and choose “new tab in group” from the drop-down menu.
The last approach is to right-click any tab in the current group and click “New tab to the right.”
After you create your first group, if you right-click on a new tab, you will automatically have the option of adding it to the existing group or creating a new one.
Once your group is created, you can collate the tabs and move the group around to easier organize your web pages.
How to remove a tab from a group
If you wish to remove a tab from a group, you can simply click on it and drag it to either the left or right.
You will see the tab is out of the group when the colored borders around it disappear.
How to delete a group
If you want to delete a group and simulatenosuly close all the tabs within it, then you can right-click the group title and choose “close group.”
If you want to delete the group, but still keep the tabs open, then right-click on the group and choose “ungroup” from the dropdown menu.
