It saves you trawling through your box’s various menus to find the content you’ve saved for later.

The trick was highlighted in a recent video shared by TikTok user @wadesramsey.

The British tech guru, who goes by Wade online, regularly shares tips and tricks for popular gadgets and services, including Sky TV.

The button he highlighted encompasses the “sky” logo at the top of your remote.

Press it to bring up your recordings, which is anything that you have chosen to download and save for later.

That’s all of the movies or TV shows that you’ve set your box to keep hold of.

It’s a simple trick but one that many people don’t know – even if they’ve had Sky Q for years.

In comments underneath Wade’s video, which was posted in February, Sky Q fans expressed shock at finding out about it.

One wrote: “Wow, feel embarrassed I didn’t know this.”

Another said: “I didn’t even realise it was a button.”

While a third admitted: “I just thought it was a badge on my remote how embarrassing thank you for that.”

It’s not the only neat Sky TV trick that Wade has shared with his online following.

For instance, did you know that your Sky remote can control your television as well as your Sky box?

In addition to changing channels and browsing Sky’s catalogue of content, your zapper can switch your box on and off and even change the volume.

Connecting the two takes a quick few button presses and saves you needing to use two remotes to watch shows and movies.

Simply hold down the one and three buttons on your remote while pointing it at your Sky box.

This opens the remote control setup menu. Hit continue and then enter the brand of your TV.

Select the brand of TV that you are using.

From here, you can either plug in the model number manually or have your Sky box figure it out for you.

Your box will then ask you to hit the volume controls on your remote to check whether the connection has been successful.

Hit volume up or volume down. If that changes the volume bar on your TV, then press Yes.

If you have a surround sound system, you can set that up in the next menu. If not, ignore this menu and press Finish.

Voila, your Sky remote should now control your telly, saving you a bit of time whenever you’re sitting down to watch something.
